Fashion with heart. It's something we talk about a lot at Flo & Frankie, and today, on World Environment Day, we want to share just how much that purpose has added up.
Our Impact
For 51 months (that's over four years), every single online order placed with Flo & Frankie has planted a tree. A commitment that's been quietly growing, one order at a time.
334,971 trees planted.
That's 189 football pitches worth of trees. 134 hectares of new forest. And 3,082 t of potential CO2 sequestered per year.
The Projects Behind the Number
Mangrove Restoration in Kenya
The bulk of those trees (263,392 of them) have gone into restoring critical mangrove ecosystems along the coastline of Mombasa, Kenya.
Mangroves are coastal superheroes. They protect shorelines from erosion, absorb carbon at extraordinary rates, and create habitats for wildlife. They also create real economic opportunity for the communities doing the planting. It's environmental action and human impact, working together.
Tree Planting in Honduras
A further 71,579 trees were planted in Honduras through a completed reforestation project that employed local communities to do the work, providing a meaningful, empowering income while restoring land that needed it.
Every tree is a story.
Less Plastic, Every Day
Trees aren't the only thing we've been working on.
Through our partnership with Greenspark, we've recovered 200 plastic bottles from the environment, the equivalent of 1,000 disposable coffee cups and 8,000 straws kept out of landfill. Those bottles are being transformed into income for the communities collecting them, building ethical recycling ecosystems in coastal areas around the world.
And closer to home? Since 2022, we've removed over 1,650,000 single-use plastic bags from our packaging. In their place: recyclable, biodegradable sleeves that tread a little lighter. Today, 90% of our orders arrive plastic-free.
