To empower and stand by vulnerable women and children around the world.
Community Kindness is at the core of the giving philosophy we believe is an important part of our business’s reason for being.
With a desire to build a business that gives back, where generosity is an intrinsic part of the business, Flo & Frankie is conscious that not all women have equal opportunities.
OUR IMPACT
Charities to benefit from Flo Gives Back initiatives include the Cancer Society, Charity Water, Cyclone Gabrielle Relief Fund, Tearfund, Ukraine Emergency Appeal and Upside Youth Mentoring, among others.
Over the last few years Flo & Frankie has donated $165,000+ to Tearfund's work with vulnerable women and girls in remote parts of Nepal.
Following the devastating Cyclone Gabrielle, Flo & Frankie donated $50,000 to the Relief Fund for the benefit of those most affected by the flooding. Of this, $2,000 had been donated by our customers.
Upside Youth Mentoring has received donations of over $20,000 from our Gift Wrap That Gives Back initiative.
Donations of clothing are regularly given to organisations supporting women facing poverty and other challenges, including critical health and domestic violence issues.
It is our privilege to share and support women in their time of need, and it brings us great joy to be able to do so.
We share more about our impact as a result of these donations below.
Gift Wrap That Gives Back
Gift Wrap That Gives Back sees 100% of the sale price of our $3 gift bags and wraps donated to Upside Youth Mentoring and this initiative is a permanent fixture across all Flo & Frankie stores, including online.
Upside Youth Mentoring is an incredible organisation, working to support our younger generation who have encountered adverse childhood experiences. Support is provided through volunteer mentors (including Flo & Frankie founder, Chrissy) who share their time with these children, making them feel important and supported. These children are given a greater chance to continue on a positive path which ultimately leads our youth into a bright future.
Chrissy and the Flo & Frankie family have seen first-hand how important the support for Upside is, and the important role their mentors provide to young people. Flo & Frankie is proud to provide this ongoing support and grateful we can be part of the journey.
Flo Gives Back
Flo Gives Back is an initiative that was founded in 2017 to empower and support vulnerable women and children. Partnering with Share and Care Nepal through Tearfund, an amazing project in Makwanpur began. Located in rural Nepal, Flo Gives Back assisted in creating an empowered community of women who were able to protect themselves from exploitation, and slavery, and drive their own economic development.
In 2018, we were able to visit the work and meet the very women who were impacted. Chrissy and her daughters Ruby, Lucy and Bella travelled (self-funded) with the Tearfund team to rural Nepal and visited villages in remote mountains. The families are subject to extreme weather events, resulting in poverty, and the work being done by Tearfund and Share & Care Nepal is life-changing for these beautiful women and their families.
HUMBLE + HEART
15% of each sale of our in-house in-house jewellery brand, Humble + Heart, goes directly towards our Tearfund donation fund. The kindness that customers show every time they choose to purchase one of these items is extremely valuable in continuing support for these communities.

Some of the ways Share & Care Nepal supports this community is by:
-
WORKSHOPS
Under The Dignity Project many women have attended business training, and skills and budgeting workshops. Over 1000 women have attended these. Due to micro loans and as a result of the training and support many have built their own sustainable small farming and livestock businesses, ensuring a brighter future for them and their children. Many of the children now attend school and have bright hopes for their future.
-
EDUCATION
Helping girls gain the education that is essential for personal development and future independence. Through this program, Tearfund is not only investing in the girls' futures but also fostering long-term positive change within the broader community.
-
SELF-HELP GROUPS
Many community Self-Help Groups (SAGs) have been formed and mobilised. Through this work more than 2000 women have received education on safe migration and anti-human trafficking, and gender-based violence.
-
REHABILITATION
Extending a healing hand to victims of human trafficking, guiding them back to their families and equipping them with skills for a better life.
